Description:

Pen and ink are used to add depth, impact and textural contrast to art - the keys to realism. With the help of reference photos and field sketches, you will learn how to create realistic and colorful paintings, ranging from expansive mountain vistas to more intimate vignettes. Learn how to use dots, fine lines, brush strokes, black and whites, an color in a mixture of mediums and techniques to create dramatic and intricate lifelike textures!

New description starting Winter 2013

This class will combine pen & ink in a watercolor and/or colored pencil media. Instructor demonstrations will teach basic watercolor techniques as well as ways to enhance a painted scene with pen and ink and colored pencil.
